MY WORKS
Nestled along Joo Chiat Road, this vibrant mural celebrates the rich Peranakan heritage of this charming neighbourhood. Inspired by the lively hues of Peranakan pottery, the mural breathes life into the streets with its bright turquoise palette and intricate flower motifs.
To honor tradition, the mural features iconic goldfish, often found in Peranakan scandals, symbolize more than beauty – they embody prosperity and wealth, a nod to the strong cultural roots of my clients from a resilient Chinese family.
As a final touch, the goldfishes adorned with tiles for scales, adding a contemporary twist that pays homage to Peranakan culture and reflects the unique preferences of my clients.
